What do we wear? This has to be my number one question I get asked for my outdoor family photography sessions, so I thought I would write a blog for you all to use for either a session with me or to use for yourself.
Number one rule; you have to be comfortable! Yes I will help you put together some outfits that will ensure your images are timeless
Avoid stripes and busy patterns - these can be a distraction to the eye and sometimes plays havoc with the camera
No big logos and branding - why? Because I want to create images that are timeless and will last a lifetime. Brands and logos change sometimes regularly, so sticking to non branded clothes - or branded in a way the logo is small your pictures will be able to hang on your walls for a lifetime!
Avoid neon and bright colours - this really is an extension of point two. My style is light, bright and airy and by added bright colours means those colours will be all you see in the image. Having said this, rules are for breaking, right? Sorry Mum. There are times when I will use colour to make you pop out of the images, especially if its a terribly dull day - for example picture a dull day in the UK and your on a session with me and your little ones are wearing their yellow wellies! Bingo there they are popping right out of the image, being the focus of the frame!
For anyone who wants a bit more I have this online gallery I send out to my clients to give them an idea of what I mean: click here to go and have a look.
I HOPE YOU FIND THESE OUTFITS TO BE GOOD INSPIRATION FOR YOUR NEXT SESSION!
Love Becky x
