On the 19th May Suzanne and her family met me outside Leomansley Woods in Lichfield for our adventure! Their family photography shoot.
Suzanne and I met gosh, ahem, years ago and used to live in the same house; AKA the house of fun. We shared many stories and dreams along with our other housemate Sarah. One of those dreams was more of a wonder... "I wonder what our lives will be like in 10,15years time?" Doing her shoot was special for me, as it was like we had stepped forward in time and I was with a good friend looking at how beautiful her family is and what a great mummy and role model she is to them.
We got chatting over Stalker Book as I am currently looking for models for family shoots and or children's shoots (get in touch if you and your family would like to be next), Suzanne said my little girl will just love it but not sure about our son, he is a little shy. As I have mentioned before I have worked with children & families for over 20years, and well enough that I wanted to get the best out of them on the day so I wrote them their own personal letter:
I want all my clients to be having an adventure and experience with me right from the moment of booking me. Personal letters like these before your shoot are part of my package and each one will be different. On the morning of when I met them as a family the kids couldn't wait to tell and show me all their favourite toys and teddy's they had brought, I knew then that they were ok with me and that asking them to come and play and have some fun with mum and dad was going to be okay.
My theme for this family shoot was; nature, natural light, storytelling, and flora. I had some fantastic suppliers for the flower headbands who you need to get following on their Instagram accounts: Amy from & Katy from Fairley's Bespoke Floristry Bloom Collective. Outfits were all chosen by the parents.
I hope you agree that this family absolutely nailed their family shoot and have left me the kindest words (scroll to the bottom):
And I will leave you with the beautiful message from Suzanne:
"We had an outdoor family shoot with Becky and right from the word go she was both professional and knowledgeable and I felt sure she would achieve the kind of images we wanted. Her attention to detail is second to none, even down to the letter she sent the kids the day before our shoot explaining all about the ‘bear hunt’ adventure they were about to go on. She captured their imaginations immediately and had them in the palm of her hand throughout, even my shy 5 year old! The photos are simply exquisite and I will treasure them forever. A lovely lady very good at her craft. Would absolutely recommend!"
And a final one from the shy children "Becky are you coming for a picnic with us? Please!"Thanks you for reading and to Suzanne's family who were magical. Becky xxx
